2012 – Present    Skytap, Inc., Seattle, WA

DIRECTOR OF PRODUCT MARKETING
Responsible for developing strategy, driving execution, and delivering results across a full spectrum of marketing responsibilities for the company's leading cloud computing service, Skytap Cloud. Areas of focus include quarterly product launches, core product content development, competitive intelligence, sales enablement, and customer reference development. Partnered with product management and engineering to identify new product innovation opportunities and feature development prioritization.
2010 – 2012    Microsoft Corporation, Redmond, WA

GROUP PRODUCT MANAGER – Exchange Partner Marketing
Led marketing, sales, and technical readiness programs, as well as formulated go-to-market strategy for the Microsoft Exchange partner ecosystem across the over 640,000 member Microsoft Partner Network. Drove program execution through customer engagement engines and Microsoft subsidiaries. Developed social media communications campaign, serving as spokesperson for Exchange partner community. Directly supervised three member team organized by partner types, i.e., Exchange resellers, system integrators, ISVs and hardware partners.
2008 – 2010    Microsoft Corporation, Redmond, WA

SENIOR TECHINCAL PRODUCT MANAGER – Exchange Product Management
Responsible for product management and marketing of the archiving and discovery workload of Microsoft Exchange Server and Exchange Hosted Archive. Formulated workload positioning and messaging. Developed sales and marketing collateral in support of Exchange 2010 launch (November 2009) and post launch sustained marketing efforts. Defined ISV partner engagement strategy, navigating challenging "coopertition" environment with leading archiving vendors. Serve as email archiving subject matter expert in interactions with key customers, media, and leading analyst firms. Partner with product engineering organization to define unique value propositions for future product release milestones.

Additionally, led product planning and evangelism activities for Exchange Server 2010 prior to public disclosure. Drove value proposition and vision articulation, positioning and messaging development, and marquee product feature naming research. Partnered across Microsoft Office Division business groups to manage product roadmap and disclosure planning.

SENIOR PRODUCT MANAGER – Security and Access Product Marketing
Responsible for the product management and marketing of Microsoft Windows Server networking technologies, including TCP/IP, IPsec, Windows Firewall, hardware offload, and IPv6. Developed and executed go-to-market plans for secure networking solutions. Defined and drove overall enterprise networking vision. Built sales and marketing collateral for the launch of Windows Server 2008 (February 2008). Managed product group outreach and coordination with the technical sales community.

PRODUCT MANAGER – Security Business & Technology Unit
Managed executive communications for business unit’s vice presidents. Formulated security messaging strategy and speech development for executive engagements, as well as integrated company’s security messaging into other executive presentations, including Bill Gates and Steve Ballmer. Led cross-group production v-team for monthly webcast on security.

DIRECTOR, SECURITY RESPONSE - eTrust Brand Unit
Led cross-functional team responsible for communications and outbound marketing for CA's security response capabilities. Served as corporate spokesperson for CA's global security research organization. Directly supervised project management team responsible for security response communications, operational procedures, and premium support services. Continued as brand unit’s leading evangelist for security management solutions.

SECURITY STRATEGIST - eTrust Brand Unit
Leading evangelist and spokesperson for the company’s eTrust brand of security management solutions. Managed relationships with top industry analyst firms and world-wide media. Delivered keynote addresses at several major IT security industry events world-wide. Developed and executed partnership strategy for alliances with Microsoft and Intel. Managed special projects around wireless security, threat management and research, brand unit marketing campaigns, and customer support.

Responsible for global product and brand management of the multimillion dollar CA antivirus product line. Developed and implemented go-to-market strategy across multiple sales channels, including product development specifications, pricing, competitive analysis, and collateral/sales tool creation. Brand manager for threat management solutions portfolio. Chief spokesperson for CA’s global antivirus research organization. Managed relationships with industry standards and certification organizations.
